Hong Kong is open for Business
Dear Members and Friends
While this title is stating the obvious for most of us
it is taken from a recent initiative introduced by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) to reinforce Hong Kong as the number one
business hub in Asia – in short “Think Business, Think Hong Kong”.
I had the opportunity to attend a two-days conference
in Mid-September. On the first day, Presidents of various Hong Kong Business
Associations from Europe, South Arica, Americas met to share their experience,
local initiatives and perspectives. Overall, it was a motivating atmosphere
followed by a nice dinner cruise on the River Seine.
The second day was very vibrant with more than 1300
people attending high level panel discussions, break-out sessions and
one-on-one meetings. Again, the overall sentiment was very positive filled with
lots of optimism. May I invite you to take a closer look at the investment
plans for the GBA (“Greater Bay Area”) which might be of great interest to your
business, too.

Hong Kong maintains 4th place in global financial centers index
|
Hong Kong maintained the fourth place in an index of global financial centers published Thursday by British and Chinese think tanks, showing its resilience as a leading financial center despite challenges.
The Global Financial Centres Index (GFCI) 34 report, released by British think tank Z/Yen Group and the China Development Institute in Shenzhen, showed that Hong Kong's overall rating increased notably. |
