According to Bain & Company Media Center, despite the global challenges, China’s luxury goods market finished 2021 with strong double-digit growth overall, with some brands exceeding a 70% increase. Chinese consumers have continued to shop mostly in the mainland, given limited international travel options. This has led to a 48% increase of China’s domestic sales of personal luxury goods in 2020, and another 36% in 2021 totalling nearly RMB 471 billion, a near doubling in just 2 years.

Our speakers will offer you three different perspectives of the luxury market in China. Mr. Raffi Balyozyan will speak about the Chinese luxury market from a financial and investment perspective. What weight is China playing and what are the long-term investment prospects, which brands are doing well in such a competitive environment? Olivier Glauser will reveal the underside of his company’s expansion in the Chinese market. He will reveal the secrets of his success and his rich experience as Swiss entrepreneurs in China. Ruyi Xu will present the main trends of the luxury industry in China: diversification, investment, omi channel (digital), more independent brands, geographical positioning and co-branding. It will also be an opportunity for
Jimmy Chu to reveal the history of the Chinese watch brand BEHRENS which made a brilliant appearance at "Time to Watches" this year in Geneva.

Feel free to bring coworkers, business associates, and friends. Registration is open until June 13, 2022.

The event is organized by SCCC and supported by Section romande de la Société Suisse-Chine (SRSSC).
